Thomas S. Kaleta, of Dunkirk, died unexpectedly at home February 20, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1948, the son of the late Chester and Emily (Makuch) Kaleta.
Tom grew up in Dunkirk, was a graduate of Dunkirk Senior High School, and served two years in the United States Army as a Sergeant E-5. He retired from Cummins in Lakewood, NY.
Tom will be remembered as an easy going guy and enjoyed times together with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by a brother, Chester (Elizabeth) Kaleta of West Henrietta, NY; a sister Kathryn Kaleta of DeLand, FL; a niece Jennifer (George) Wildridge of Ridgecrest, CA. Tom is also survived by a great nephew and niece. You are forever in our hearts...
Graveside services will be held in private. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Kosciuszko Polish Home; 252 Nevins St, Dunkirk, NY. Arrangements are by the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.; 56 E. Doughty Street, Dunkirk, NY.
