Stella M. Michalak

Stella M. Michalak, 92, of Dunkirk, died Monday. October 8, 2018, at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Dunkirk, March 9, 1926, daughter of the late Peter and Angeline (Woznicka) Butryn.

A past employee of the former M. Wile Plant in Dunkirk. She enjoyed to play pinocle and go to the Casino and bus trips to Atlantic City.

Her memberships includeBlessed Mary Angela R.C. Church, the Parish Rosary Society, Dunkirk Senior Citizens and Dom Polski Club where she also held offices at.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews along with many friends .She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Edward C. Michalak who died July 27, 2010, and daughter Darleen Michalak who died September 28, 2018, and brothers Stanley, Adolph, Matthew, Michael Butryn and sisters Clementine Dombrowski, Helen Heaton, Genevieve Oyach, Julia Korbar.

A mass of Christian burial will be held This morning at 10 a.m. in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
