Roger S. Hojna

Roger S. Hojna, 76, of California, formerly of Dunkirk, died, Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, CA.He was born June 1, 1942, in Dunkirk, son of the late Stanley andStella (Krystofik) Hojna.A graduate of Cardinal Mindzenty High School class of 1959, and Bryant and Stratton Business College, in Buffalo class of 1962.A retired employee of Peterbuilt Corporation in Hayward, CA. Where he worked as a design engineer.Roger enjoyed gardening, and would give most of what was grown away to those who were in need, and also golfing.The past five years Roger resided at Tri City Care Home in Fremont, CA under the care of his good friend Mely.Surviving is his sister Beverly (Victor) Stebbins of Fredonia; an aunt Josephine Rataczak of Cheektowaga; Uncle Ray Krystofik of Dewittville; Aunt Sylvia Krystofik of So. Carolina along with several cousins.Preceded in death, in addition to his parents, is his companion Sally along with several aunts and uncles.Memorial services will be held Saturday April 6 at 10 a.m. in Holy TrinityR.C. Church. Private burial will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials can be made to the Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E.
