Ralph S. Moch, 94, of Fredonia, passed away Thursday
December 7, 2023.
Born in Buffalo, January 13, 1929, son of the late
Stanley F. and Lucy (Pauszek) Moch.
He attended St. Hyacinth's School, Dunkirk High School
as well as SUNY Fredonia Business Courses.
Ralph was inducted into the US Army on January 8, 1951.
During the Korean War, he was assigned to the Army
Security Agency's 351 Communications Reconnaissance
Company at Camp Pickett, Virginia with a top secret
clearance.
On November 26, 1952 Ralph was awarded the National
Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He married the former Geraldine Zielinski on January 24,
1953 at St. Hedwig's Church.
Ralph retired from Al Tech Steel as Medical Claims
Administrator.
A man of faith, Ralph served various positions at St.
Hyacinth's Church as a parishioner over 75 years.
His memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Parish,
the Dunkirk American Legion Post #62, and the Disabled
American Vets.
Surviving is his wife of 0ver 70 years Geraldine, and
their three children Carol A. (James) Borowczyk of
Martinsburg, WV, John S ( Mary) Moch of New Berlin WI,
James R. (Lisa) Moch of Fredonia, nine grandchildren,
19 great grandchildren and sister Florence Cybart
survive.
Preceded in addition to his parents are a brother
Norman (Jane) Moch, brother in law Robert (Joan)
Zielinski, Richard Cybart, and sister in law Elaine
(Richard) Bracizewski.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from
5-8 PM at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc.,
56 E Doughty St., Dunkirk.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at
10 AM at Blessed Mary Angela Church of St. Hyacinth.
Interment will be in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.
