Peter “Pete” Bialaszewski, 76, of Dunkirk, NY, unexpectedly passed away at home on April 30, 2026.

Pete was born on March 9, 1950 in Dunkirk. He is a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1969. Pete spent his early years working for the White Eagle Bakery, Buffalo Press, True Temper and finally the Chautauqua County Home where he retired in 2012.

Beyond his work, Pete loved tending to his farm where he grew his own vegetables for many years. He was also an avid stamp collector. Pete enjoyed his Sunday drives to Erie, PA to visit his sisters. He took great joy going to see his great nieces and nephews. “Uncle Pete” would greet them with a smile and a hug and a great big bag of candy. Pete was also a member of the First Ward Falcons, Conservation Club and Dom Polski’s.

Pete is survived by his sisters Sally Lasecki, Rose Mancuso, Patricia Grisanti, Mary Anne Gugino, Clara Mazurek, Joan Szczerbacki and brother Joseph Bialaszewski, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Josephine Bialaszewski.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 1-4 p.m. at R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.; 56 East Doughty Street, Dunkirk, NY. Interment will be held in private. Arrangrments are by Richard M. Mackowiak, Jr.; R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.
