Listen to Obituary

Nancy A. Winkler, 83, was reunited with her husband, Moose, on Friday, July 31st, 2026. Born to Stella T. and Leo C. Majka Sr. on April 8th, 1943. Nancy attended Cardinal Mindszenty and Fredonia schools before graduating from Dunkirk High School in 1960.

It is hard to find the right words to adequately describe Nancy’s personality. She was the life of the party and loved to entertain. Nancy married Harry “Moose” Winkler on July 16, 1966, and spent 59 years together before his passing last year. She loved Moose deeply and was devoted to him, caring for him as they both got older.

Nancy was a member of Blessed Mary Angela Parish (St. Hedwig’s). She had a deep Catholic faith and kept angels all around her. Nancy loved crafting and cooking and will be remembered for the birthday cakes she made. She worked as a dietician for Margret Anthony Nursing Home and Lakeshore Hospital. She also worked in the business office for King Windows and Wal-Mart, from which she retired.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Joseph Winkler, and two brothers; Leo C, Majka, Jr. and an infant John Joseph Majka. Nancy is survived by her three brothers, Richard (Kris), Joseph (Deb), and John (Mary Ann) Majka; her sister, Christine (Peter) Pinkoski and her sister-in-law Lenora (Leo Jr.) Majka. Nancy also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, who all hold their own fond memories of time spent with her.
