Maureen "Molly" E. DaScenzo

Maureen “Molly” Dascenzo, 64, of Fredonia, passed away, July 9, 2021.

She was born in Dunkirk, daughter of the late loving parents, Samual Weakley and Joan (Morrison) Weakley.

She was a graduate of Dunkirk High School and a long-time resident of the Dunkirk/Fredonia area. She was a long-time cook at Demetris’ On the Lake for over 20 years.Molly enjoyed cooking meals for family occasions, keeping family traditions alive and was known for making birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She was very fortunate to spend her spare time with her beloved grandchildren, taking them to the playgrounds, parks and zoos. She always offered a helping hand to friends and family in need.

Molly was married to her husband, Thomas J. Dascenzo Jr, on Jan. 12, 1980, they were married for 41 years.She is survived by, in addition to her husband, Thomas Dascenzo Jr.; by her daughter, Jessica (Dascenzo) Haight; and son, Thomas J. Dascenzo III. In addition, brothers and sisters: Shirley Frazita, Peggy Merinik, Steven Weakley, Joannie Peck, William Weakley and Jill Gee; and both her grandchildren: Zoey and Grant Haight.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at R.. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E. Doughty St., in Dunkirk N.Y.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Dunkirk, N.Y. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredonia, N.Y.
