Kim was the absolute heart of her entire family.Kim had a joyous essence and she lit up a room with her smile and loving hugs. She was able to turn anyone’s bad day into warmth and happiness, just speaking with her. We can all hear her now saying, “Come here you! You are so cute!” Kimmy was our special girl and all that was good in the world. The genuine affection Kim had for everyone radiated God’s love that you could feel. Kim was a rare ray of light that permeated people’s hearts and you couldn’t help but love being in her company. Kim would always say she had a direct line to God and you could always feel him in her presence.
Kim graduated from St. Joseph’s School for Exceptional Children in Dunkirk in 1985. She loved helping to take care of her family and assisting with the cooking and baking. Kim was very creative and enjoyed crafts and coloring. She loved dancing and music, especially listening to Kenny Rogers, Wynonna, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. She had a special love for Polka music and she was an avid listener to Polka Party every Sunday on WDOE. Bobby Vinton’s “Melody of Love” and the Chicken Dance were her favorites. Kim enjoyed playing bingo, scratch off lottery tickets, word search puzzles, reading the Sunday newspaper store flyers, eating out at restaurants, getting cards from the BMA Sunshine Club, and watching “I Love Lucy” on TV. Most of all, Kim truly loved spending time at home with her parents, her devoted sister, Tamara, and her dear nephew and niece, Noah and Myah, who she just adored. Watching WWE Smackdown on Friday nights with Noah and Myah, was a staple for her and she would root on her favorites with excitement, with each of the kiddos sitting on either side of her.
