Listen to Obituary

Judith "Judi" L. Ransbury born February 19, 1947 to Dolores Dorler in Dunkirk passed away peacefully May 16, 2026.

She graduated from Dunkirk High School, married and began raising her children, Sue (Shawn) Tracy, Rodger (Renee) Ransbury, and Cheryl Flores (Michael Thompson). She lived in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area for many years, working at what was then Dunkirk Ice Cream, then at Ferranti-Packard. She loved going down to the Point and scavenging driftwood and stones to use in her crafting. She was always busy fixing something, washing the cars or chasing her kids. She knew how to have a good time, enjoyed parties, loud metal music, and fast cars including her '76 Trans Am she drove until she was 70.

About mid-way through life she met her current partner of over 30 years, Robert "Bob" Morris and they found a home in Sinclairville. She worked at Heritage Village for many years while maintaining their business of Morris and Son Trucking. She retired begrudgingly less than a year ago. She put her heart and soul into her home while continuing to raise two more generations, Bobby and Thomas Morris, then Josh (Angie) Morris and Kari Spencer. She loved everyone and was always ready to provide calming reassurance, guidance and support. She was so proud of her gardens and landscaping.

She had a strong bond with her grandchildren, Devin Anni, Rodg, Caleb and Carl Ransbury, Bailey and Salvy Flores, Morghon Thompson, Hayley Tracy and Lizzy Lewis, and their children, and with a slew of pets ranging from dogs, iguanas, turtles and birds to pigs. Her smile is going to missed the most. Donations can be made in her memory to UB Foundation in support of the Anatomical Gift Program @ ubfoundation.buffalo.edu/giving/ (find it in the search) or mailed to them at PO Box 900, Buffalo. NY 14226-0900.

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held in private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by R. Michael Mackowiak III; R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.; 56 East Doughty Street, Dunkirk, NY
