Jonathan M. Christopher, “Johnny Blaze,” 39, of Dunkirk, died unexpectedly, December 31, 2018, at home. He was born August 4, 1979, in Dunkirk, son of Nicholas H. And Crystal (Bane) Christopher Jr. of Dunkirk.
A graduate of Dunkirk High School and attended college and BOCES. Jon was a certified public and private security specialist, and also worked as a home improvement specialist.
He enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, fishing, bonfires, cooking and hanging out with his many friends.
Memberships include the Columbus Club. An avid sports fan of the NY Giants, NY Yankees, and Drag Racing.
Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers Nicholas Christopher III, Matthew Christopher a sister Kimberly Christopher all of Dunkirk, his 2 nephews Nicholas Christopher IV, Jovanni Christopher, his paternal grand-mother Josephine Christopher of Dunkirk and maternal grandmother Carol Bane of Fredonia, along with many friends. Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Nicholas Christopher Sr. and maternal grandfather John Bane Sr.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call Saturday from 3-6 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday from 2-7 p.m. at the St. Hedwig’s Social Center on Townsend Street in Dunkirk.
