Jane A. Pieszak, 89 of Dunkirk died Sunday January 6, 2019 at Elderwood in Amherst. Born in Dunkirk, June 30, 1929, daughter of the late John and Martha (Mroczka) Jaguszewski.
A graduate of Sisters School of Nursing and a retired employee of Brooks Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse after over 40 years of dedicated service.
Jane enjoyed time spent with her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she also liked to crochet and collect dolls.
Surviving are her sons Norman F. (Cheryl) Pieszak Jr. of Getzville, Robert (Sandra) Pieszak of Elma, Bruce (Suzanne) Pieszak of Lakeview, grandchildren Dawn Pieszak, Ryan (Danielle) Pieszak, Kristen Pieszak, Robert Pieszak II, Brenden (Breanne) Pieszak, Michael Pieszak, great- grandchildren Joseph Harvey, Thomas Harvey, Connor Pieszak, Austin Pieszak, Noah Pieszak, Kailor Pieszak, a sister Rita Cieslewicz of Dunkirk, along with many nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death in addition to her parents is her husband Norman F. Pieszak Sr. who died December 2, 2016, grand-daughter Sara Pieszak, a sister Patricia Pinkoski-Hudson, and brother Jackie Jaguszewski.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call today from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street, Dunkirk. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 AM in Blessed Mary Angela R.C.Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Interment will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
