Frances J. Frey

Frances Jean Frey 76, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, surrounded by her family at the Chautauqua County Hospice home in Lakewood.

Born November 7,1945 in Pensacola, FL, daughter of the late Thelma and Glenn Cornelius.

She was a lifelong resident of Dunkirk but had resided in Forestville for the past 6 years.

She was employed by the Salvation Army Thrift Store where she was awarded perfect attendance in 2002 and 2003. During her time there she made many friends and memories that she cherished. When she wasn’t spending time with family and friends, she could be seen walking around Dunkirk or attending a local bingo game.

Frances had a great love for animals, especially cats. She had several through the years and helped many strays.

She was a kind and loving friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, Glenn Cornelius. Two sons: James and Daniel Frey. One daughter Nancy (Randy) Fuller. Five grandchildren: Timothy Tresler, Jonathan Tresler, Amanda Tresler, Alicia Colvenback and Michael Fuller. Four great-grandchildren: Rowan Stoll, Nevaeh Tresler, Landon Stalter and Kelsey Stalter.

On behalf of Frances the family would also like to thank the family and friends who helped her during her illness. Brian Colvenback, Jennifer Hepfner, Sue Colvenback, Caryn Tresler, Dakota Ellis and Christina Bailey. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten. Also, an incredibly special thank you to Chautauqua County Hospice for their wonderful care.

She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Frey.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, November 10 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E Doughty St, where funeral services will be held immediately following. There will be no graveside services.
