Felix E. Swiech, 95, of Dunkirk, NY passed away Monday, December 12, at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Felix was born March 3, 1927 to the late Anastaszy and Rozalia Swiech.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a career employee for National Fuel Gas.
Felix’s memberships included Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig, Kosciusko Polish Home, Fourth Ward Falcon Club and the Southshore Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include his sister-in-law Shirley, and nieces and nephews Susan Nalepa, Kathy Rymanowski, Tim Dykas, Paulette Morein, Karen (Joseph) Porpiglia, Ellen (Peter) Sumby, Andrea Nalepa, Jill (late Sam) Szynski-Serino, Gary Swiech and Gregory Swiech, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Felix was predeceased by his siblings Dorothy (late Joseph) Nalepa, Victoria Swiech, Sophie (late Donald) Szynski and Walter (Shirley) Swiech, and his niece MaryLou (Tim) Dykas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Helwig’s on Friday, December 16, at 10am. Interment will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street, Dunkirk.
Memorials in Felix’s name may be made to the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County.
