Elaine Mary O'Brocta

July 13, 1946 — August 13, 2023

Elaine M. O'Brocta, 77, of Dunkirk, passed away, Sunday,

August 13, 2023, at home.

Born in Dunkirk July 13, 1946, daughter of the late Aloyius

and Alice (Stempkowski) Pawlowski.

A graduate of JCC with a business degree and had in the

past worked at brooks Memorial Hospital, and then the

family business Frank J. O'Brocta Salvage in Dunkirk.

Elaine was a life long member of Blessed Mary Angela

St. Hedwig's Church, and had been a reader for many

years and volunteered at the parish for many things along

as past member of the church cemetery board.

Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who

be there to help anyone at anytime. She enjoyed watching

her grandchildren, attending their sporting events, cooking,

and was a great baker that would always share her recipe's.

An avid sports fan of the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bill's.

Surving are her children Karen (Robert) Harrington IV of

Fredonia, James O'Brocta of Buffalo, grandchildren Robert

Harrington V, Rebecca O'Brocta and Patrick O'Brocta.

Preceded by her parents, husband James O'Brocta of of

25 years, who died April 19, 1996, her maternal grandparents

Walter and Josephine Stempkowski paternal grandparents

Joseph and Josephine Pawlowski and godmother Sophie

Urbanik.

Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials can be made

to St. Hedwig's Cemetery of Northern Chautauqua Catholic School.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of

the family.
