Cathryn F. Farnham, 69, of Dunkirk, died, Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at home.


Born Aug. 30, 1953, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Carter and Barbara (Louberry) Smith.


A past employee of Kmart in Syracuse.


Cathryn was known as the neighbor rescue with all the animals that she would take care of, the dogs and cats, especially her own feline companion, Tommy.


Surviving is her daughter Amanda Deno of Washington, D.C.; son, Paul Farnham; brother, Leonard Smith; sister, Barbara Gail Fulmer; and niece Vanessa Smith.


Preceded in addition to her parents is an infant son; brother, Mark Smith; and nephew, Harley Smith.


Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak-Funeral Home Inc., 56 E. Doughty St., where funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery .


Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials can be made to the Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St,, Dunkirk or the American Diabetes Association.
