Bonnie S. Orchard

Bonnie S. Orchard, 73, of Silver Creek, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at her daughter Jenna's home in Fredonia following an extended illness with her loving family by her side. Born in Alden, NY on April 23, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lois M. (Eastland) Orchard.

As a devoted mother and grandmother, Bonnie treasured the moments spent with her daughters, and beautiful grandchildren who affectionately called her "Meema". Her generous heart and giving nature made her a guiding light in the lives of those she loved. Bonnie's legacy of kindness will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Bonnie had a particular fondness for the water and the beach, where she found peace and happiness. Her love for music was also a significant part of her life; she took delight in the music of Genesis, Foreigner, and Journey. Jenna and Bonnie shared one last special moment together, as Jenna sang Foreigner songs to Bonnie as she took her final breaths.

Survivors include her loving daughters Kelly (Brad) Fanale and Jenna Matney, grandchildren Aaron, Alan, Maximus, Ariyah, Avilla, Anias and Damienn. She is also survived by her sister Donna Raffa and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Lori Ann Schurr.

Funeral services will be held in private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by R. Michael Mackowiak III; R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc., 56 E. Doughty Street, Dunkirk, NY.
