Bernadette M. Zebracki

Bernadette M. Zebracki, 78, of Dunkirk died Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Dunkirk on July 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Worczak) Zebracki. She was a member of St. Hedwig’s Church.Bernadette was a 1953 graduate of St. Hedwig’s School, a 1957 graduate of Dunkirk High School, and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute.

Bernadette is survived by her three nephews, David VanWey, Jr. of Rochester, and Timothy (Jeannine) VanWey and Randy (Andrea) VanWey, both of Dunkirk. She is also survived by great-nieces Emily VanWey of Greenville, NC, and Elise, Abbey and Mia VanWey, all of Dunkirk. Several cousins also survive. In addition to her parents, Bernadette was preceded in death by her brother, Robert J. Zebracki, who died April 7, 2016, and by her sister, Kathleen M. VanWey, who died November 7, 2017.

A private Christian Burial service will be held at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc. with the Rev. Jan Trela officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Burial at the convenience of the family will take place in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
