Allen C. Greenough

Allen C. Greenough, 76, of Forestville, died, Friday September 4, 2020 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, following a brief illness.

Born June 2, 1944 in Buffalo, son of the late Francis and Juva (Stearns) Greenough.

Allen was a welder at CSX Railroad, formerly Conrail; he retired in 2008. Al’s favorite activities were watching his sons coach football and particularly watching his grandchildren play sports such as hockey, football, soccer, and swimming. He enjoyed mowing his and his sons’ lawns, car racing, hockey, college football, and morning coffee at Tim’s with all his buddies.

His memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig, Kosciuszko Club, Moniuszko Club, and the Forestville Masons.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Carolyn (Domanski) Greenough, whom he married July 4, 1970, their sons Scot (Linda) Greenough, and Greg (Michelle) Greenough, all of Cherry Creek, beloved grandchildren Tyler, Molly, Brady, Elijah, and Evan, and his sister Romaine (Roger) Hohenstein of Sheridan, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Following the guidelines and protocols administered by the governor of New York, relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E. Doughty Street. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
