Wanda H. Graminski, 91, of Dunkirk, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at the Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab Center, Dunkirk.

Born July 12, 1930, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Karol and Helen (Malkowski) Kucmierz.

A retired employee of the former M. Wile Plant/ Van Raalte Corporation, in Dunkirk.

Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Parish Church of St. Hedwig, Parish Holy Rosary Society, Sacred Heart Society, senior choir member and the Kosciuszko Polish Home.

Surviving are sisters: Helen Jackson of Oswego and Jane Steffan of Dunkirk; along with her many nieces and nephews to include: Charles (Kristine) Krochmal, John Kucmierz, Sharon Kucmierz, Marcia (Robert) Henderson, Kathleen (Fred) Lentz, Greg Lis, Richard (Emily) Lis, Ronald (Diane) Kucmierz, Mary (Tim) McCarthy, Edward (Rita) Kucmierz, Patricia Kucmierz, Richard (Brenda) Kucmierz, Ann (Jim) Kirby, Anthony Kucmierz, Joseph Kucmierz, Thomas Kucmierz, John (Lucy) Kucmierz, Betty (Michael) Ransbury, Dominic Bonamasssa, Cynthia Jackson, Janet (Jim) Fiacco, Virginia (Ed) Roesch, Nancy Steffan, Carl Steffan and Susan (Joseph) Tirone; along with great-nieces and nephews and great-great- nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband, Aloysius J. Graminski who died April 10, 2014: sisters: Eleanor (Casimer) Krochmal and Josephine (Florian) Lis; brother: John (Irene), Thomas (Irene), Casimer (Jean) and Aloyisus (Frances) Kucmierz; along with nephews: Eugene and Steven Kucmierz and Dr. Michael; and niece, Linda Bonamassa.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E. Doughty St, Dunkirk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. in Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Interment will follow in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.

Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials can be made to St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, c/o BMA Parish, 295 Lake Shore Drive E., Dunkirk, NY 14048.
