Obituary for Richard F. Waclawski

Richard F. Waclawski, 72, of Dunkirk, died Sunday, Jan, 9, 2022, at the Buffalo VA Hospital.

Born Sept. 19, 1949, in Dunkirk, son of Esther (Dolski) Krupinski and the late Ernest Waclawski.

A graduate of Dunkirk schools and a U.S. Army veteran from 1968-71, served in Germany and received the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter Medal.

At one time he work the Railroad in Arizona and had retired from Al Tech Specialty Steel in Dunkirk.

Richard enjoyed time spent with his family and was most fond of the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife, Linda (Crowell) Waclawski; sons: Mason (Laura) Waclawski, Joshua (Amanda) Waclawski and Christopher (Alexandra) Waclawski, stepson, Jeffrey Hall; daughters: Amanda Waclawski and Rychele Waclawski; grandchildren: Mason, Jocelyn, Seth, Ava, Nina, Mika,Wells and Elena. He is further survived by a brother, Ronald Waclawski; and sister, Lynn (Chuck) Saden; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death in addition to his father are his stepfather, George Krupinski, infant sons: Richard and Micah Waclawski.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday morning from 9-11a.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E Doughty St, where Christian services will be held at 11 a.m. Internment will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society or Lake Shore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St, Dunkirk, NY 14048

Preceded in death in addition to his father are his step-father, George Krupinski; infant sons: Richard and Micah Waclawski; and infant step-granddaughter Emberleigh Grace Hall.
