Richard "Bunk" Stuczynski

On March 9 2021, Richard “Bunk” Stuczynski went home to be with our Lord.

Richard was a devoted loving husband and father to his three children.

Born in Dunkirk, to Stanley and Mary “Bak” Stuczynski on Oct. 9 1936.

Richard was a graduate of Cardinal Mindszenty High School, class of 54. He was employed at Loblaws supermarket from 1953 to 1978 at which time he left to open and become owner operator of Convenient Food Mart in Fredonia, N.Y. along with his wife Lynne. He retired in 1996 selling the family run business to his son and daughter-in-law Mark and Sue.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Dunkirk, N.Y.He was married to Lynne Strefeler on Sept. 29 1956. Together they raised their three children, Mark (Susan) Stuczynski, Tami (Joseph) Nietupski, and Corey (LouAnn) Stuczynski.His grandchildren held a special place in his heart; Terra (Joseph) Grupa, Jennifer (Rick) Suhr, Matthew (Kathryn) Stuczynski, Stacy (Bobby) Lipinczyk, Kevin (Jessica) Smith and Bryan Stuczynski, great grandchildren Seth (Elizabeth) Grupa, Callie and Jillian Grupa, Kodiak and Madison Suhr, Aubree and Allison Stuczynski, Kinley and Teagan Lipinczyk, great great granddaughter Tegan Grupa.Also surviving are brother-in-law William (Diana) Strefeler, sister-in-law Mary Strefeler, nephew Paul (Susan) Strefeler, Niece Julie Strefeler and their children.Predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law David Strefeler and grandson Matthew Smith.

There will be no calling hours. The family will have a quiet family gathering to celebrate the robust life Richard lived and the joy and legacy he left with his family.
