Louis Rizzo, Jr.

Louis Rizzo, Jr., 63, of Fredonia, New York passed away on May 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Louis was born on December 23, 1950 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, New York son of the late Louis and Josephine (Manzella) Rizzo. Louis was proud to have served as a CPL in the United Stats Marine Corps. from 1970-1975. He was stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan and stateside in Quantico, Va. During his time in the Marine Corps, he received a Good Conduct Medal. After his time serving in the military, he was employed at True Temper, Chemical Process & Supply, Alstar Transport and XPress Screen Printing until his retirement in 2010. Louis loved his family very much and is survived by his daughters, Tara (Jose) Salgado, Kim (Brian Blood) Rizzo, and Jennifer (Dwayne) Heidt. Also surviving are his grandchildren Jordyn Salgado, Jayden Salgado, Cayden Rizzo, Cole Rizzo, Logan Heidt and Cameryn Heidt. Louis is also survived by his brother Joseph (Martha) Rizzo. Many aunts, cousins and nieces survive. Louis was predeceased in addition to his parents by his grandson Jacob Michael Salgado. There will be no prior visitation and a private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association .
