Genevieve J. Romanik

Genevieve "Jean" Romanik, AKA Miss Hollywood of Dunkirk, was called peacefully to the Lord  Friday morning, August 5, 2016, at the age of 94 years young.Jean was a loving mother who enjoyed being with her family. She was always ready for a road trip and shopping for the latest fashions and "Bling" that made her personality sparkle with joy both here and in heaven.Surviving are her children, Janice (Jeffrey) Robinson, Patricia (William) Pienta and Linda (John) Kereceman. She was the  cherished grandmother of Billy (Martiza) Pienta, Jeffy (Monica) Pienta and great grandmother of Joseph, Cameron, Kaitlyn and Evan. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, the late Adam and Julia  (Tuczynski) Zacharzewski; her husband Walter; sister Mildred Ellman Drabek; and brothers Chester and Aloysius Zacharzewski.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of  St. Hyacinth, with Interment in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery. No prior visitation will be observed.Arrangements are by the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk.
