Diane L. DeMonja

Diane L. DeMonja, 59, of Fredonia, died Thursday afternoon, October 9, 2014, at the Absolut at Westfield, with her daughter at her side, following a battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Buffalo, April 22, 1955, daughter of the late Lon and Lois (Hill) DeMonja. Diane graduated from the University of Buffalo with a degree in occupational therapy in 1989. She had previously received a degree from ECC as a certified occupational therapy assistant. She was a 1973 Kenmore West High School graduate. Most recently Diane had worked for Amedisys. She was formerly self employed and had worked at Lake Shore Hospital, several school districts, Manor Oak and the Chautauqua County Home. Diane thoroughly en-joyed spending her time with her grandchildren. Diane enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, making porcelain dolls, various other arts and crafts, and gardening. She had also been a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 89. Surviving is her daughter Tracey (Prashant) Sakpal of Silver Creek, grandchildren Hunter Bogosian, Kamran Sakpal, Priya Sakpal, a brother Thomas (Elke) DeMonja of Mary-land, along with many friends. Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E.
