Alice C. Pawloski, 94, of Dunkirk, died Tuesday morning, November 29, 2016, at the home of her daughter in Hamburg. She was born April 29, 1922, in Clymer, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Josephine (Napierla) Stempkowski. At one time a waitress at the "coffee shop" in downtown Dunkirk. Alice enjoyed cooking, baking, her garden, reading and animals. Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hedwig and the parish Holy Rosary Society. (George) McClenathan of Florida, Elaine O'Brocta of Dunkirk, a sister Sophia Urbanik of Dunkirk, grandchildren Jason (Katherine) Levandoski of Michigan, Eric (Heather Smithy) Levandoski of North Carolina, Sara Levandoski of Hamburg, Kevin McClenathan of Florida, James 'O'Brocta of Buffalo, Karen (Robert) Harrington of Dunkirk,great grandchildren Grace Agnello, Rebecca O'Brocta, Patrick O'Brocta, Robert Harrington, 2 step grandchildren Megyn and Madeline Quandt, her feline companion "Emily" along with several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death in addition to her parents is her husband Aloysius Pawloski who died August 23, 1991, brother John Stempkowski and sister Mary Gebczyk. Relatives and friends are welcome to call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Dough-ty Street in Dunkirk. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 11:30 in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Interment will be in St. Hedwigás Cemetery. Memorials can be made to The Hospice Foundation of WNY, P.O. Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240-0590. The Parish Rosary Society will recite the Rosary Friday at 6:30 p.m.
